How It All Began
The First Meeting
Our story began in the summer of 2018 at Camp Carolina in North Carolina. Anett arrived for her first summer as the camp pastry chef, while Zac was already a seasoned kitchen manager. At first, we were simply coworkers, with no idea that the greatest adventure of our lives was about to begin at a summer camp. When Anett returned to Brevard in the summer of 2019, we spent more and more time together outside of work and quickly became close friends. By the end of the summer, Zac finally gathered the courage to confess his feelings, and that's when our special story truly began. Although the pandemic kept us thousands of miles apart for quite some time, we stayed in touch and soon became each other's best friends. In the summer of 2021, Zac traveled to Hungary so that together we could discover what the future had in store for us. Since then, we've shared countless adventures and faced more than a few challenges, but we've always stayed by each other's side. Eight years after our first meeting, we're finally getting ready to say "I do," and we can't wait to celebrate the beginning of this next — and perhaps most beautiful — chapter of our lives with the people we love most.
The Proposal
Our engagement took place in March 2025 during a wonderful vacation in Egypt. We spent a week enjoying the sunshine, the sea, and making unforgettable memories together. One evening, Zac had a very special surprise planned. He arranged a private dinner on the beach at our hotel, complete with candlelight, a heart drawn in the sand, and one life-changing question. Luckily for him, the answer was an enthusiastic "YES!" And so, surrounded by the sound of the waves and a little bit of magic, we said yes to forever.
